How to Configure Two Factor Authentication in Triofox AI

Two Factor Authentication, or 2FA, is a security process that adds an additional layer of authentication on top of password. Triofox AI offers 2FA options for authenticators, emails and text messages.

Configure 2FA Settings
Log in to the web portal as the admin user and navigate to the settings page. Select "Configure" under the "Two Factor Authentication" box.

In the configuration page:

1. Toggle on "Enable Two Factor Authentication".
2. Toggle on "Authenticator" if you want to enable users to set up 2FA with authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and Duo Mobile.
3. Toggle on "Email Auth Code" if you want to enable users to set up 2FA with email accounts.
4. Toggle on "Send Auth Code via SMS" if you want to enable users to set up 2FA with text messages.
5. Click "Apply" to save the changes.

Set Up 2FA with Authenticators

On the web portal, click on the profile button on the top right to open the personal menu and select "Two Factor Authentication Settings" to open the configuration page.

Click on the gear button in the Authenticator App box.

Input the secret key or scan the qr code on the authenticator app of your choice. Then, the authenticator app should start generating security codes. Input the current security code on the web portal and click "Apply" to finish setting up.

Set Up 2FA with Email

On the web portal, click on the profile button on the top right to open the personal menu and select "Two Factor Authentication Settings" to open the configuration page.

Click on the gear button in the Email box.

Enter the email you want to receive security code from and click "Send Code"

Enter the code sent to your email and click "Apply" to finish setting up.

Set Up 2FA with Mobile

On the web portal, click on the profile button on the top right to open the personal menu and select "Two Factor Authentication Settings" to open the configuration page.

Click on the gear button in the Mobile box.

Enter the phone number you want to receive security code via SMS from and click "Send Code".

Enter the code sent to your phone and click "Apply" to finish setting up.

Using 2FA to Log In

Sign in as you would normally.

When taken to the 2FA page, pick the form of authentication you want to use from the drop-down menu and click "Continue".

Enter the code sent to your mobile/email or generated by your authenticator and click "Continue" to complete signing in.
