How to Publish Local Share on TriofoxAI

Before publishing the local share, make sure that you have installed the gateway agent on the file server, or on a machine which can access the local share directly. If you want to know how to install the gateway agent, please refer to this article How to Install Gateway Agent on the File Server

Publish from Add Storage Drive

• Log into the web portal as the admin user, click on the storage drive icon on the left toolbar
• Click on the "New Storage Drive" 
• Click on the site you want to create drives from (Here use this 'samplesite' as the example'
• Enter the basic information for the drive and click on "Continue"
• There are two options when choosing shares: Default Share and Manually Configuration
  • Default Share (These are the shares you have on the local server)
    • Click on the "choose" option for share you would like to use.
    • Then choose the permission type and enter the credential for Active Directory admin
      • Use both NTFS permissions and system defined permission: This is the hybrid permission that users' permission will be controlled by NTFS permission and the permission admin defined in the Triofox.ai
      • Always use system defined permission: With this option, sub users would only follow the user permission defined by admin in Triofox.ai
      • Always use NTFS permission: With this option, sub users would only follow the user permission defined in NTFS permission.
    • Click on "Continue" button
  • Manually Configuration
    • Click on the "choose" option for manually configuration
    • Then enter the folder path for the share you want publish ad choose the gateway you want to import the share from
    • Then choose the permission type and enter the credential for Active Directory admin
    • Click on "Continue" button
• Will see the the file share is published as a drive

Publish from Site

• Log into the web portal as the admin user, click on the site icon on the left toolbar
• Click on the manage option for a site and go to the "CIFS share" tab 
• Turn on the toggle for the share you want to publish
• Enter the basic information for the drive
• Choose the permission type and enter the credentials
• Will see the the file share is published as a drive
