Triofox installation creates a cloudflare tunnel with format of tunnelname.triofox.io and set it up as the default external URL. It allows Triofox customers to access triofox service via https immediately after installation, without extra configuration.
After the initial configuration, sometimes accessing Triofox via the tunnel hit error 1033.
To fix the issue, on Triofox server, open Windows Service Manager. Here, restart the service 'Gladinet Cloud Monitoring Service'.
After the service is restarted, open windows Task Manager. Here, go to Details to check the process list. Should see 'cloudflared64.exe' running.
Now, retry the tunnel access.
If still see the issue, please make sure the cloudflare IP is accessible on the Triofox server. Here is the list of IPs Cloudflare Service uses. https://www.cloudflare.com/ips/
Ensure at least one set of IPs are accessible in the Cloudflare IP list.
To avoid the error in the future, suggest the triofox customer to use your own DNS service/SSL certificate, instead of the cloudflare tunnel.
- Setup DNS record to point to Triofox IP
- On Triofox server, install SSL certificate for the Triofox server on IIS. Use it to bind port 443
- As admin on web portal, go to System Info and change the Triofox external URL
- Verify the new URL works on the browser on internet
