The Mac Client Finder extension adds convenient options to the right-click context menu, allowing users to quickly share files, refresh content, lock items, and more directly from Finder. Additionally, it includes an icon overlay that displays the status of each file —such as synced, pending, or in cache— providing a quick visual indicator of file status.
If the context menu options are not visible, this means the Finder extension may need to be enabled. The steps to enable it can vary depending on the macOS version.
Follow the instructions below to enable the extension for macOS Sequoia, Ventura, Sonoma, or earlier versions like Big Sur and Monterey.
Sequoia:
The pluginkit command-line tool is the new way to manage Finder extensions in Sequoia.
- Open Mac Terminal
- To enable the extension enter: pluginkit -e use -i com.gladinet.genclient.findersync
Big Sur/Monterey:
- Open Mac System Preferences
- Go to Extensions. Enable 'Finder Extensions' for Triofox Mac Client.
- Visit the Mac client drive again. You should see an icon overlay. Right-click any file/folder, and you should also see the context menu.
Ventura/Sonoma:
- Go to System Settings, Privacy & Security.
- On the right, scroll down and open Extensions.
- Under Extensions, select 'Added extensions'
- Here, for Cloud Drive Mac Client, enable 'Finder extensions'.
- Now, on the Mac client drive, can see the icon overlay and context menu.
