When versioning is enabled for a folder, user can restore deleted files from web portal, before the deleted files are purged based on the retention policy.
The easiest way to check whether a folder is version protected is to upload a small test file twice, from the web portal.
1. Login as the user on web portal. Visit the folder. Change the view to Detail List View
2. Upload a small test file from the web portal twice.
3. See v2 for the file. It means the file has 2 revisions.
If a folder has files deleted before, right click any empty spot to open the context menu. See 'Show Deleted' option.
Click it to show deleted files/folders. Keep in mind the option only shows when the current folder has deleted files/folders directly under it.
When deleted items show on web portal, right click it and select Undo Delete, to restore the item.
If the folder has multiple files deleted, to restore all, in the right click context menu, select 'Revert all deleted files under this folder'.
Web portal will prompt you whether to restore the deleted files recursively.
Yes: After restoring all deleted files under the current folder, go to subfolders and restore all deleted files there too. The option will restore all deleted items under the current folder, including subfolders.
No: Only restore deleted files under the current folder.
